Grievance Redressal

Last updated: 2026-09-08

Draft policy for a pre-launch product - reflects how BrandMap actually works today, not reviewed by a lawyer yet. Get real legal review (including India's DPDP Act and the skill-vs-chance distinction for real-money contests) before relying on this at launch.

Grievance Officer

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it (including the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021), and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, the details of our Grievance Officer are published below.

Name: To be appointed - pending appointment
Email: grievance@brandmap.local
Address: HashBits, Mukkam, Kozhikode, Kerala, India

BrandMap operates as an intermediary that lets businesses and players interact - we don't create or endorse the contest, survey, offer, or brand-page content a business publishes. This channel is also our notice-and-takedown mechanism under Rule 3(2) of the IT Rules, 2021: we act on valid complaints about unlawful content and on court or government orders, in line with our Terms of Service.

What you can raise here

  • A contest, survey, offer, or brand-page content you believe is unlawful, explicit, violent, infringes your copyright or other rights, or should be taken down.
  • A disagreement with a contest's winner determination, an unhonoured coupon or offer, or a business's conduct.
  • A complaint about a withdrawal, payout, or wallet issue - including a payout that's been withheld or delayed pending a fraud review.
  • A request relating to your personal data under our Privacy Policy.
  • Any other complaint about how BrandMap or a business on it has treated you.

What happens after you write to us

We'll acknowledge your complaint within 24 hours and aim to resolve it within 15 days, in line with the timelines set out in the IT Rules and Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules. Complex complaints (for example, ones requiring input from a hosting business, or a fraud review) may take longer - if that happens, we'll tell you why and give you an expected timeline.
